Interpreting Cancellation Policy
If an appointment is cancelled less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, the customer will be charged for one hour of interpretation. If the customer cancels the appointment after the interpreter has arrived, the customer will pay for one hour of interpretation and for any travel time if the appointment is outside of the Denver Metro Area.
Translation Refund Policy
With the exception of contract translation projects, all translations are paid for in advance. If a translation project is cancelled by the customer less than 48 hours before the promised completion date, the customer will be charged for the amount of the translation that has been completed or $40, whichever is more. If the translation project is cancelled within the first 24-hours, 50% of the payment is due.
Rush Policy
Requests for an interpreter for an appointment that is less than 24 hours from the time of the request (phone, fax or email) will have a rush fee of 15% added to the invoice.
Interpreting for Victims of Crime
Funding is made available through the Victim Assistance Law Enforcement Board (VALE) and is intended to cover the costs of interpreting for the victim of crime or the parent/guardian of a minor who is a victim of crime. This funding can be used in the 1st, 17th and 18th Judicial Districts of Colorado only. It cannot be used for interpreting at civil hearings, (such as protection order or child custody hearings). VALE funded interpreting is limited to two appointments per client. If a special situation arises the customer must get authorization from the TI Center Director or a member of the DCCV leadership team, allowing for additional interpreting appointments.
Quote Policy
Translation of documents will be reviewed and given a per-word or per-page quote within 24 hours of receipt. The quote will be based on the original document and not the finished translated document. For interpreting services, please contact us via phone or email with details of the services required. Fees vary depending on language required and the completion time needed.
Payment
Payment in advance is required for translation of documents (with the exception of contract translation projects). Interpreting services must be paid for in advance if requested by an individual. If the interpreting service is provided to an organization, the customer will be invoiced and payment will be due within 30 days. Customers are required to pay all invoices within 30 days. A late fee of 18% will be added to invoices past due by more than 30-days. Customers with payments past due 60+ days will be forwarded to collections and will no longer receive services from the TI Center until all outstanding invoices are paid in full.
Contract Pricing
Contract pricing is available for organizations who are in need of ongoing interpreting and translation services. Please email us with details of your needs or for more information.
