Dear TI CENTER,
I am writing to commend you on the efficient service we have received from you...As the Coordinator for CoNEHT(Colorado Network to End Human Trafficking), I am responsible for locating services for victims of human trafficking and because of the nature of law enforcement and agency intervention in potential trafficking situations, we are often asked to mobilize services within hours. Trafficking issues are extremely sensitive; the necessity to communicate with a victim of any variety of languages within an expedient time frame is crucial.
As you know, I have contacted TI Center on several occasions and in every instance, we have received an immediate response from staff. Although you have shared that it is best to have 24-48 hours lead time, in every instance we have been provided with interpreters, even on extremely short notice. These interpreters are crucial in our work, they are the communication line between service providers and potential victims. Without them, we are unable to offer
assistance and there is a very small window of opportunity for identifying trafficking victims.
As the issue of human trafficking becomes increasingly public and more victims are discovered, we anticipate that our need for translation and interpreting services will grow accordingly. We thank you for your consistent efforts in helping us to assist victims of human trafficking. We have been thrilled with the help we have received from TI Center staff and we anticipate a long and beneficial relationship, you're terrific!
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Terry Barlow
